BRG Company History
Handcrafted in the USA
| From the early beginnings in 1992, BRG Precision Products focused on technology products. Initial products were public safety software for fire station location modeling and graphics development. In 1996, a line of relatively low cost, electronic carillon church bells were developed. The BRG carillon church bells are still very popular today. | ![]() |

In 1998, BRG began offering radio controlled wall clocks that received a radio signal from Colorado. BRG modified the clocks by extending the antenna so they could be used in commercial concrete and steel buildings. Digital clocks from other manufacturers were also added to the lineup of commercial time displays. However, the clocks available at the time did not meet many customer requirements, and the manufacturers were reluctant to make any changes. Therefore, BRG began manufacturing new clock designs, incorporating the most requested features, coupled with the flexibility to add new features as needed. |
In 1999, BRG was the first to offer wireless synchronized clock systems that utilized a digital mesh network. Every clock received and retransmitted time updates which allowed low powered transmitters to cover any size building. In 2000, BRG introduced a new line of commercial LED digital time displays. The new displays were developed with two very important goals in mind. First, the clocks must incorporate a very powerful and flexible processor that would perform the most requested time display requirements. Second, the manufacturing methods must provide the ability to produce nearly any type of time display, without additional engineering. Both goals were met and the displays became an immediate success. |

In 2002, BRG Precision Products was awarded a 20 year contract by the U.S. Government to supply all agencies, worldwide, with custom time displays and other custom electronics. In 2002, BRG was the first to offer wall clocks with temperature compensated oscillators that are 10 times more accurate than a common consumer wall clock. In 2002, BRG developed a line of synchronized clock systems that utilized a central high power UHF transmitter to distribute time updates over a wide area.

| In 2004, BRG expanded manufacturing facilities to meet the product
demand and to expand the product lineup. The new manufacturing facilities located in
Derby, Kansas, exceeds 50,000 square feet. In 2005, BRG initiated an International dealer network. BRG now has dealers in many countries throughout the world. In 2006, BRG developed a comprehensive wireless Emergency Mass Notification (EMN) System. BRG has installed EMN systems in many colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada. |

In 2010, BRG added a 32,700 square foot warehouse to our current facility. With this expansion, BRG is able make more room for production, stock more products to reduce product delivery times and meet the growing demand for our products. In 2011, BRG introduces its DuraTime 2.4 GHz Wireless Synchronized Clock System. This system was designed from the ground up to never fail. It incorporates redundancy throughout, with no single points of failure. In addition, it is easy install, requiring no configuration. The analog wall clocks are powered by common AA batteries, operating up to 15 years between battery changes. |
In 2014, BRG was the first to offer selected wall clocks with oven controlled (OCXO) oscillators that are 10,000 times more accurate than a common consumer wall clock. BRG was the first to offer stand-alone wall clocks pre-synchronized to the U.S. Atomic clock, requiring no further adjustment for up to 20 years. This feature virtually eliminates the need for GPS receivers, network connections, radio receivers, sync wires and other methods commonly used to maintain accurate time. |

In 2017 BRG released several key products to boost our strong lineup, including:
|
| In 2018, BRG re-wrote the LED time zone clock market with the release of the first User-Changeable Multi-Color LEDs time zone clocks. Now the user is able to change the LED colors at anytime with choices of Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan or White. Prior to this, LEDs were either Red, Green or Blue. |
|
In 2018, BRG again turned the Time Zone World on its head with the release of the Time Commander. This is the industry's first LCD touch-screen remote control with the following featues::
|
|
In 2020, BRG announced the BRG Take-A-Number System. This queue management system is our first product for this market. BRG rolled out 6 different sized displays for this market. The user-configurable displays support 100 or 1000 waiting customers, 0 to 64 service windows, no alert tone, alert tone only, or alert tone with voice announcement, with a user changeable color LED display. The ticket number count is maintained during power outages. The U.S. Government approved long-range wireless remote control, with 10 year battery, greatly simplifies installation and operation. Any number of wall displays or combination of digit sizes may be deployed. Available packages include: user-changeable color LED display, ticket dispenser with tickets, floor or tabletop stand, and wireless remote control. Made in the USA with a full one year warranty.

2024 brought the introduction of BRG's new Hybrid Time Zone Clock, the LED Worldview. Combining legacy LED technology with the latest LED monitors into an attractive all Aluminum package. Designed for secure locations, it allows you to view the world map, place pins, zoom in on maps, see the sunrise/sunset times and allows you to display images and videos. The included scheduling software allows you to jump from the moving map to video at designated times throughout the day. |
2025 ushered in a completely new concept for time zone clocks with BRG's Worldview Time Zone Clocks. These clocks come in three different monitor sizes (22", 32" & 43") that can be packaged into five different combinations. (one, two, three, four or five). Utilizing BRG's included software, you can program the clock to turn on/off at a specific time everyday, have it play videos and animated GIFs, display a continuously moving world map that can highlight key locations, show daytime/night time views and much more. The key difference in the Worldview Clock is the ability to completely change the configuration of the clock. Each clock comes with several configurations designed to display on the footprint that you purchase. There is no charge for the additional configurations. The end-user can also go into the BRG configuration program, included with the clock, and edit existing configurations, change configurations, and much more. |
