Most BRG time zone clocks use bar-segment LEDs for the time digits — the same format as a traditional digital alarm clock. The BRG Style 5810 series takes a different approach: both the time digits and the zone labels use 10-character dot matrix LED displays. The result is a fully alphanumeric time zone clock where both the time and the location information are displayed in the same flexible dot matrix LED format — giving you the ability to show not just hours and minutes, but also seconds, dates, day codes, and other time-related text in the time display area itself.
The 5810D is the 4-zone model in the 5810 series, with 1.2″ dot matrix LEDs for both the time display and the zone label, delivering 30 ft. viewing distance in a user-changeable multi-color format.

Dot matrix LED displays can show any combination of numbers, letters, and symbols — not just the fixed segments of a traditional bar-segment digit. This means the 5810’s time display area can show hours and minutes, but also seconds, AM/PM, date, Julian date, day of week, ATO military day codes, military shipping codes, and more — all in the same display position.
Text-Format Time Display
Some organizations prefer to display time in a text or abbreviated format alongside the standard HH:MM. The 5810’s 10-character dot matrix time display allows formats like “14:30 MON” or “2:30P EST” that bar-segment displays simply cannot replicate.
