Every BRG time zone clock comes with a standard handheld IR remote control for programming and configuration. But if you’re already working at a computer when you need to make configuration changes, reaching for a separate remote control is an extra step you don’t have to take. The BRG USB-IR is a compact infrared dongle that plugs into any standard USB port on your PC — turning your computer into the remote control for your BRG time zone clock.
The USB-IR can be substituted for the standard IR1 infrared remote at time of order, or added as an additional control option alongside it. It is particularly useful in installations where the clock is mounted near a workstation, in a server room environment, or anywhere a technician is already sitting at a computer when clock configuration changes need to be made.
How the USB-IR Works
The USB-IR dongle draws power from the USB port — no batteries required.
