Easy to Install
Most Stratum 1 NTP Servers require an antenna that must be installed on the roof of your building, with good sky visibility. The Unison eliminates this problem by synchronizing to signals broadcast from the CDMA mobile cellular/PCS telephone system. You can install the antenna wherever the unit is located, even deep inside buildings, and still have an NTP server that is as stable and accurate as with GPS.
Secure
Monitoring, maintenance and control of our NTP Server is easily and securely accomplished via a wide range of protocols including SNMP, Secure Shell (SSH), and RS-232. Our NTP servers are the most secure in the market today and are the only ones to support both Secure Shell (SSH) and SNMP v3 - the secure version of SNMP. The SSH implementation includes SCP, the "secure copy" utility which allows users to perform maintenance and software upgrades safely. Security-conscious users can also disable any or all of the risky protocols such as Telnet, Time and Daytime. In addition, access via SSH, SNMP and Telnet can be restricted to specific hosts.
High-Performance
Our NTP Server uses an embedded LINUX operating system on a 133 MHz processor resulting in fast throughput and high reliability. The high NTP bandwidth capability ensures that a typical timestamp accuracy of <100 microseconds can be sustained while handling hundreds of NTP requests per second. This high level of packet throughput makes the Unison one of the most responsive and accurate NTP Servers available in the market today.
Accurate
The Unison is precisely synchronized to UTC to the 10-microsecond level of accuracy and is highly stable, comparable to direct GPS. Network factors and operating system latencies generally reduce client synchronization accuracy to the 1/2-2 milliseconds realm.
Reliable
CDMA system time synchronization must be reliably maintained within 10 microseconds in order for the cell phone system to work properly. This makes the CDMA network a very dependable source of precise timing information. In the event that a CDMA base station goes down, the Unison will automatically switch to the next closest base station. In addition, our CDMA NTP Server is not susceptible to rooftop antenna failures or cable problems that can be associated with GPS-based servers.

Reliable
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is maintained by the United States Government making it an extremely reliable system and a very dependable source of precise timing information. In most locations, several GPS satellites are continuously available that can be received by the Unison. However, by employing proprietary EndRun Satellite Tracking and Oscillator Disciplining Algorithms, the Unison requires that only one satellite be in view a few times a day in order to provide accurate time to your computer network.
Easy to Install
Our GPS time server has the ability to operate in a single-satellite mode. This lets you avoid the trouble and expense of a rooftop installation by allowing you to mount the antenna in a window of your building up to 150 feet away.
