(RT) Two-way Digital Radio Data Communications Option



This option adds a digital radio transceiver to a clock, timer or counter. The digital radio link eliminates the cost and inconvenience of wired control lines.

Digital radios may be used for a variety of applications:
  • Timers - A digital radio can be connected directly to a PC or the network to command and control one or more timers with internal radios.

  • Counters - A digital radio can be connected directly to a PC or the network to command and control one or more counters with internal radios.

  • Clocks - A Master clock with internal digital radio can send time updates to any number of digital clocks.
The indoor signal coverage is 500 to 2,000 foot diameter, depending on the number and type of partitions. The outdoor line-of-site coverage is up to several miles.

BRG data radios incorporate DES data encryption developed for the U.S. Government. This two key secure communications method prevents changing or reading communications data, and other interference. This secure communications method provides accurate, secure and reliable communications.

BRG digital radios provide a full 1 watt output power and operate in the license-free 900 MHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band.

Digital radios are also available that connect directly to your PC using a serial port and to computer networks.

When ordering this option, simply add the letters RT to the clock model number, i.e. BRG840-RT.
