(IR) Infrared Remote Control This option allows remote operation of the clock. It includes an infrared receiver inside the clock and one long-range handheld transmitter. Additional remote transmitters are available. This is a custom manufactured remote control specifically designed for BRG clocks. The typical operating range is 75 feet, compared to the competition's ordinary TV remotes, which have a range of 35-40 feet. The infrared remote control is useful when operating clocks in hard to reach places. It's also useful for accessing various clock features, i.e. alarm settings, up/down elapse timer, up/down counter and configuration settings. The remote control option may also be added to slave clocks with limited functionality. A single handheld remote may be used to operate multiple clocks. Transmitters and receivers may be purchased separately. The receiver requires factory installation. When ordering the Infrared Remote Control option, add the IR option to the clock part number; i.e. B840-IR.
