(CL) Clock/Timer/Counter External Control Line Option

(CL) Clock/Timer/Counter External Control Line; This option adds an opto-isolated control line to the clock. The control line includes the mode, down and up functions, plus a special timer/counter controls. This cable may be used to connect to other equipment, sensors, switches or buttons. This option includes an internal optical isolation circuit to reduce interference.

Various operating modes and configurations may be selected. For example, when the timer control circuit is activated, either steady or momentarily, the clock switches from real time display to elapse timer operation and starts the timer. The timer may start at any predefined time, and may be configured as either an Up or Down timer.

A preset time may also be entered. When the time reaches the preset value, the clock may stop or continue counting. The preset time may be used in conjunction with various sounder options or relay output. When the timer is idle, it may be configured to remain in timer mode, or return to real time display after a selected amount of time. This line is also used to decrement the counter. An external voltage from 12-24 volts DC is required to activate the control lines.

When ordering this option, simply add the letters CL to the clock model number, i.e. BRG440-CL
