Now all clocks can display the same, accurate, legal time. BRG commercial digital clocks are specifically designed for applications where precision and reliability are of utmost importance. These clocks may be used as accurate stand-alone time displays. They can also be synchronized so that all clocks display the same time. Additionally, GPS and CDMA atomic time receivers are available to provide the true legal time to all slave clocks. This means that all clocks will not only display the same time, but the time displayed is the true legal U.S. time. Ethernet and a variety of other synchronization methods are also available. These clocks are in use by many organizations where accurate, synchronized time is required.

Each clock provides a variety of time zone and display formats, including UTC (Zulu) Time, Any World Time Zone, Half-hour time zones, Enable or Disable Daylight Saving Time, and selectable 12 or 24 hour display formats with digital intensity control.

Two basic types of displays are available: super-bright bar segment and ultra-bright discrete LED. Super-bright, bar-segment displays are used primarily indoors. Ultra-bright displays are viewable in direct sunlight; however, the intensity may be reduced for indoor use.

The standard high brightness bar segment displays are ideal for indoor applications, but they cannot be seen in direct, or highly reflected sunlight. However, ultra-bright displays are viewable both indoors and outdoors, even in direct sunlight. For indoor use, the intensity can be reduced for normal viewing, or increased for greater viewing distance. For outdoor applications, the auto-brightness option allows viewing in direct sunlight, but will automatically dim for nighttime viewing. High-brightness displays are recommended for most indoor applications, while ultra-bright displays are recommended for indoor/outdoor use.

    A low-voltage twisted pair wire may be used to connect any number of slave clocks together to form a synchronized network. Clocks using twisted pair sync wiring may be up to 4,000 feet apart. A repeater clock may be used to extend this distance even further. Also, alternative synchronization methods are available for those areas where sync wiring is absolutely out of the question.

    The clocks are housed in a sturdy anodized aluminum frame and includes an anti-glare lens to reduce glare. Because digital clock produce light and utilize an anti-glare lens, they can be seen from a much greater distance than mechanical clocks.

    Clock accuracy is unaffected by power failures.

    The master clock, with optional GPS or CDMA time receiver, provides a variety of time zone and display formats, including UTC (Zulu) Time, Any World Time Zone, Half-hour time zones, Enable or Disable Daylight Saving Time, and switch selectable 12 or 24 hour display formats.
